For 75 years now, NIOD has been carrying out research into the Second World War, and it is currently facing the challenge of continuing this into the future. The NIOD Fund was established in 2020 to help with this. Through the NIOD Fund, individuals, organisations, funds, and businesses can support NIOD. The NIOD Fund focuses, among other things, on the challenge of preparing young researchers so that research into war, the Holocaust and genocide will remain possible in the future. The NIOD Fund also contributes towards the full digitisation of NIOD’s archive collection.
The NIOD Fund has an independent board, consisting of:
- Anne Lize van der Stoel (chair)
- Stefan de Bruijn (treasurer)
- Judith Sargentini
- RobertJan Smits
- Rocky Tuhuteru
- Gunay Uslu
- Natascha van Weezel
The board does not receive any remuneration for its work. Every year, the board determines the goals of the fund and distributes the donations and contributions received between NIOD’s projects.
