Looking back: HGS Annual Lecture on Organised Destruction: The Logic of Mass Violence in Genocide

On Thursday 23 September 2021, Uğur Ümit Üngör gave his inaugural lecture on ‘Organised Destruction: The Logic of Mass Violence in Genocide’ in the Aula of the University of Amsterdam. The lecture also formed the NIOD Holocaust and Genocide Studies Annual Lecture 2021. In his lecture, Üngör addressed the concept of genocide, research on perpetrators, and mass violence in Syria and Iraq. The lecture was delivered in English.
