Tuesday's edition of De Volkskrant reveals that for the first time in history photos have been discovered of executions in the former Dutch Indies.
The photos have probably been taken during the so-called 'politionele acties', shortly after the Second World War. They are from a family album of a soldier who served as a conscript in the Dutch Indies. NIOD director Marjan Schwegman commented on the discovery of these photos in De Volkskrant. TV-magazine Nieuwsuur also discussed the photos.
