Date: November 6, 2020, 14.00-16.00 (East-Central European Time)
On Friday November 6 the online seminar 'DNA Forensics and the aftermath of wars' will take place.
In this symposium, anthropologists Tam Ngo (NIOD, MPI), Sarah Wagner (George Washington University), and Amade M’charek (University of Amsterdam) offer insights into the current development of DNA technologies in the identification of missing war dead in Vietnam, the U.S, and the Middle East. They will discuss the socio-cultural and political forces that surround this powerful technology and the kinds of new uncertainties and moral dilemmas that it can generate.
