
Femke Jacobs is Library and Archive Collections Specialist at NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
She studied History at the University of Amsterdam and followed the course in Library and Documentation at the Frederik Muller Akademie in Amsterdam. Since 2003 she has been working at NIOD as a staff member of the Collections and Services Department. As an information and collection specialist, her tasks include making both the library and archive collection accessible, as well as their digitisation and sustainable digital storage. She describes and curates new archive acquisitions, contributes to the findability and searchability of (digital) collections and to digitisation projects and works with Netwerk Oorlogsbronnen (the War Sources Network) on the WW2 thesaurus
