Floris Kunert works at the Expertise Centre for Restitution at NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies. He specialises in the history of persecution and looting of cultural goods during the Nazi regime and its aftermath, including contemporary issues of restitution and rehabilitation.
His interests include the course of the persecution of the Jews, administration and authority in times of crisis and war, the rule of law and restoration of justice, technology (criticism) and the philosophy of history.
