Marjon van der Veen is Team Leader Communication and Information at NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
She studied History at the University of Utrecht and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Strasbourg. She started her working life in politics, first as a personal assistant to a member of parliament and then as a political assistant to an alderman in Rotterdam. She then moved on to the world of communication and education and worked in various positions on topics such as sustainable global development and financial empowerment of young people. Before working at NIOD, she was project manager for communication and digital strategy at the Department of Educational Projects of the Anne Frank House.
