
Wendel ten Arve workes as a Head of General Affairs of NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
Wendel ten Arve studied Art and Architectural History at the University of Groningen and then obtained her Master's degree in Visual Arts Administration at the Royal College of Art in London. Between 2000 and 2013, she was active in contemporary art and design as an independent entrepreneur. She focused primarily on the organisation and production of cultural events and exhibitions. Before she started at NIOD, she worked as Head of Presentations and Program at Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam and as Deputy Director at Droog Design in Amsterdam.
