Frank Uiterwaal (1987) graduated at the Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen (Cultural History MA) and the University of Amsterdam (Heritage Studies MA). In the latter, he graduated with honours, writing a thesis which analysed considerations in current policy-making around the material remains of Mussolini’s building programme in Rome (bursary at the Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome). Furthermore, Frank has conducted internships focusing on cultural heritage and digitization as a part of his curriculum. Within the NIOD, Frank is involved in the European project Parthenos, as well as internal digitisation projects.
