Zussen Een oorlogsverhaal

With the Netherlands occupied by the Nazis, three Jewish sisters tried to save their own lives and the lives of their relatives, each in their own way. The first went into hiding, the second escaped arrest by using forged identification, and the third fled to England. Although their paths separated, all three were confronted with the inability to protect their loved ones.

Zussen is the true story of a family that fell apart during the war and was confronted with heart-rending dilemmas. The story covers the adventures of three strong women and their attempts to escape Nazi persecution. It is also the story of the struggle for the child who had to fill the holes left in her family after the war. She was claimed by various family members as the girl who was to make everything right again.
